Christy Abney, APRN, FNP-C: Personalized Care for Women

Christy Abney, APRN, FNP-C is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and has been in nursing for 23 years. Over the years she has worked in Hematology/Oncology, Pediatrics, and Women’s Health. Christy is a certified Biote provider and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Christy has developed a strong clinical background through her diverse experience across multiple specialties, allowing her to provide well-rounded, patient-centered care. Her time in Hematology/Oncology strengthened her attention to detail and compassionate approach, while her experience in Pediatrics helped her build meaningful relationships with patients and families across all stages of life. In Women’s Health, she found her true passion and focus, where she is dedicated to supporting patients through every phase of their health journey with understanding and expertise.

Christy grew up just outside of Abilene and is excited to return to her long-time passion for Women’s Health. She is committed to serving her community with a focus on education, prevention, and individualized treatment plans that empower patients to take control of their health. Her goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to each individual in hopes of creating a healthier, happier you. She believes in taking time to listen, answer questions, and ensure every patient feels comfortable and supported during their visit.

Currently, she lives in Abilene with her husband, Jay, and spends her free time with their three children. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, staying involved in her community, and continuing her education to stay current with advances in healthcare.
